You know, sometimes for even the happiest of people, life can just get a bit overwhelming. I feel a special need in my heart to remember those less fortunate this time of year, and try to find some way to bring them a little joy.
I read 2 quotes that really hit home this morning, and got me back on track with how to live life the way I am supposed to. I need to remember to walk with God always, and live a life in the Pursuit of Happiness. Always look at the glass half full, and try to help others who are unhappy or unfortunate. Life is all about what we do for others, and I think it is so important to keep that in perspective. The most important relationship we have is the one we have with the Lord, because at the end of the day...that's who i'll see! :)
That being said, I saw these wonderful quotes earlier this morning- and it really got me excited to be home for Project Santa...but even to make sure I am living positively and bringing a smile to other people everyday. Being negative never helps anything.
“Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God's kindness: kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile.”
― Mother Teresa

“People are often unreasonable and self-centered. Forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives. Be kind anyway. If you are honest, people may cheat you. Be honest anyway. If you find happiness, people may be jealous. Be happy anyway. The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway. Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough. Give your best anyway. For you see, in the end, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.” - Mother Teresa
Thanks to a wonderful co-worker for posting this quote earlier this week. I needed this today! :)
Have a great Tuesday, y'all! :)
